Athlon released its Preseason All-Big 12 team Friday and despite Oklahoma's struggles last season, the Sooners are well-represented on the first team.
Running back Samaje Perine, wide receiver Sterling Shepard, linebacker Eric Striker, cornerback Zack Sanchez and kick returner Alex Ross all made the first team.
Baylor, TCU and West Virginia also had five representatives on the first team.
Oklahoma State has two players on the first team—defensive end Emmanuel Ogbah and linebacker Ryan Simmons.
Four Cowboys made the second team, including sophomore quarterback Mason Rudolph. Rudolph played the final three games of last season, leading OSU to wins over Oklahoma and Washington in the last two.
