Saturday marks the 110th renewal of the Bedlam Series in football between Oklahoma and Oklahoma State. This in-state rivalry is one of the oldest rivalries in college football.
The first game in the series was contested in 1904 and played in Guthrie, Okla., approximately halfway between the two campuses. Oklahoma State was known then as Oklahoma A&M. The Sooners won the inaugural game handily, winning by a score of 75-0.
Oklahoma won the first 11 games in the series over their in-state rivals located 85 miles up the road to the north. In fact, the Cowboys did not score a single point until the ninth game of the series, and then it was just six points.
