All eyes were fixated on the announcements of defensive back Jeremiah Criddell and defensive end Marcus Stripling as the first day of the Early Signing Period went on, but the Oklahoma Sooners have also earned a surprise signature from Arlington (TX) Bowie athlete Ty DeArman.
DeArman, who stands at 6’0” and 190, had been committed to the Arizona State Sun Devils since June, but OU has apparently offered the guy and pulled a flip at the 11th hour. Herm Edwards can’t be too thrilled.
The three-star prospect projects as a safety for the Sooners, and those who crave physicality are unlikely to be disappointed.
