BETHANY — Early in the second half of Friday's Class 3A semifinal at SNU's Sawyer Center, Oklahoma Centennial was surging and Quinton Johnson was taking over the game.
Johnson attacked the basket as he had done repeatedly, acrobatically moving through a crowded lane and finishing.
But this time, Johnson was called for a foul and that's where things went sour for the Bison and started soaring for Douglass.
The Trojans used that momentum to quickly regain control for good and knock off top-ranked Centennial 77-59 and advance to Saturday's state title game.
In the immediate aftermath of Johnson's foul, the Bison were assessed a technical foul.
