Dougherty reportedly accepts special teams quality control position

Lehigh special teams coordinator / offensive assistant Ryan Dougherty has reportedly accepted a special teams quality control position at Oklahoma, according to Chris Vannini at CoachingSearch.com.

Dougherty, a former East Carolina punter, worked on the Pirates' staff at the same time as OU offensive coordinator Lincoln Riley. Dougherty began his collegiate coaching career at ECU in 2010 as a special teams assistant and worked with the offense and special teams as a graduate assistant from 2012-2014. Riley was ECU's offensive coordinator from 2010-2014.

Dougherty joined Lehigh's staff in July 2015 as a specialist coach working with the kickers, punters and snappers, and he also assisted with the offense.
