Kenny Gajewski could not have envisioned exactly when this rise would happen.
But in just year two of his rebuild of Oklahoma State softball, the Cowgirls' head coach has his team mathematically alive to win the Big 12 regular season title entering the final series of conference play — a feat OSU has not accomplished since 1994-95.
“I'm sure there are people who go down the schedule (preseason) and try to count wins,” Gajewski said. “That's not a good habit for a coach. I think you just go down and say, ‘Hey, these are games we've got to go and win.
