Bob Stoops was announced last week as the head coach of the XFL’s Dallas franchise, which begins play next February. But Stoops said it was unlikely his brother would be interested.
OK. So how about Kentucky? Mark Stoops, the head coach of the Wildcats, has lost his defensive coordinator, Matt House, to the Kansas City Chiefs. And Mark Stoops told Kentucky Sports Radio that he “absolutely” would consider Mike Stoops as a successor.
Mike Stoops was fired as OU’s defensive coordinator last October, after 7-1/2 successive seasons on the job, the first six working for Bob Stoops.
