NORMAN — Last weekend's cold snap helped Steele Walker heat up.
Instead of preparing for a Saturday game at TCU's Lupton Stadium, Walker sat down for a lunchtime conversation with his brother, Sam.
“It's important to recognize what really matters,” Sam told Steele. “What do you have to lose? Our salvation is set.”
Baseball was great, but it didn't matter in the big picture.
The family's faith should be freeing, Sam said.
“That really put the game of baseball and this junior season in perspective,” Steele said. “I might play baseball forever and I might not but I'm in God's hands.
