NORMAN — Paige Parker struck out a season-high 12 and allowed just two hits to help No. 13-ranked Oklahoma beat Kansas 4-0 in Big 12 softball at Marita Hynes Field.
A crowd of 1,053 watched Parker dominate the Kansas lineup. She fell one strikeout shy of tying her career high. The sophomore right-hander allowed the first three Jayhawks to reach base on two walks and a single, before taking over the ballgame.
She retired 17 consecutive batters at one point.
OU (26-7, 3-1 Big 12) scored twice in the second and third innings. Erin Miller led the Sooner offense with two hits and an RBI.
