Oklahoma State’s sudden football troubles have some comparing these Cowboys to the 2014 Cowboys.
Remember that year? OSU lost a big-time leader at quarterback in J.W. Walsh, hurt in Game 3. The Cowboys were impressive in their big non-conference test (a 37-31 loss to defending national champ Florida State in the season opener). A stunningly-onesided loss to TCU (42-9) when they were 5-1 and ranked 15th.
That OSU team lost five straight, then saved the season when true freshman Mason Rudolph (with a boost from Bob Stoops and Tyreek Hill) led an overtime victory at OU.
