The College Football Playoff committee has three new members and a new chairman. Which means the most important committee in college athletics has a new look.
Iowa athletic director Gary Barta, who is entering his second season with the committee, is the new chairman, replacing outgoing member Rob Mullens, the Oregon athletic director.
The new committee members are former Penn State center John Urschel, Colorado athletic director Rick George and Wyoming athletic director Tom Burman.
The new committee members will begin three-year terms this spring. In addition to Mullens, former Virginia Tech coach Frank Beamer and Robert Morris University president Chris Howard will leave their committee.
