Former OU quarterback Cody Thomas, now an outfielder with the Tulsa Drillers of the Texas League, hit three home runs in a 10-7 victory over the Springfield Cardinals on Wednesday. Thomas was 4-for-4 with five runs batted in.
In 11 games this season, Thomas has five home runs and 13 RBIs. He’s batting .262.
Thomas has shown decent improvement since signing with the Dodgers. He had 19 home runs in 232 at-bats in rookie ball in 2016, 20 home runs in 460 at-bats at Class A Great Lakes in 2017 and 19 home runs in 499 at-bats last season at Class A Rancho Cucamonga.
