Kingfisher’s Mason Overstreet leads the Class 3A boys golf tournament by six strokes after Monday’s opening 36 holes at Lincoln Park West.
After signing for a second-round 68, though, all the junior could think of was about the shots he left on the course.
“Way too many three-putts,” Overstreet said. “I lost a couple drives, hit one in the hazard, so I’ve just got to clean some of that up.
“I hit the ball really well, but I could’ve done some other stuff a lot better.”
Overstreet, who finished second in the Class 2A tournament to Hobart’s Brad Dalke last year when he played at Laverne, isn’t taking his success for granted, though.
