Houston mayor Sylvester Turner is already starting the trash talk between the Houston Cougars and Oklahoma Sooners.
In a recent Q-and-A with UH Magazine, Turner suggests the Houston Cougars' 2016 opener on Sept. 3 will be an easy win over the reigning Big 12 champions.
"For the Cougars to start out the season against a powerhouse like Oklahoma speaks to how far the program has come," Turner said to UH Magazine. "We'll win that one easily then move on. In this first game, I think we'll win by 14 or possibly 21 points. Then, we'll look for some stiffer competition.
