OU-Texas week in October always comes with a variety of events long before kickoff in the Cotton Bowl. Now there’s a new show to celebrate the annual meeting of Sooners and Longhorns.
A celebrity softball game was staged last October and it returns in 2018. The second annual Red River Celebrity Softball Game, presented by Sewell, will be staged at 7 p.m. Oct. 4, at Dr Pepper Ballpark in the Dallas suburb of Frisco. That’s the Thursday night before kickoff.
The captains are country music star Toby Keith for OU and baseball pitching great Roger Clemens for Texas.
