Toby Rowland, OU's radio voice, has a tradition at Sooner Caravan stops. When athletes are part of the program, usually in Dallas and Tulsa, Rowland has a standard question. Tell us an embarrassing story about your coach.
The answers often are funny, though not necessarily insightful. Usually something about their awful dance moves in locker room revelry, or how they look or sound funny, without knowing it, when they get mad.
But Rowland's shtick was upstaged Thursday night in Tulsa. Rowland got scooped before he even answered the question.
Football player Steven Parker and basketball players Ryan Spangler and Gioya Carter were on the stage, and Rowland asked them fairly innocuous questions about their experiences as Sooners.
