Hield averaged 28.7 points, 6.7 rebounds and 1.7 assists in the Sooners successive wins over Washington State, host team Hawaii and Harvard to win the holiday tournament.
The No. 3-ranked Sooners are now a perfect 11-0 to begin the 2015-16 season and one of only five teams in the country that remain undefeated. Hield contributed a career-high 34 points in Oklahoma’s 83-71 victory over Harvard on Christmas day in the tournament championship game. It was the fifth straight game in which the Sooner senior has scored 25 or more points and the third time he has exceeded the 30-point mark.
