Buddy Hield is organizing a relief effort in the Bahamas after Hurricane Dorian ripped through his home country.
The Sacramento Kings guard and former Oklahoma star created a GoFundMe with the goal of raising $1 million. Hield donated $100,000 to the cause Tuesday.
"My heart is broken for my country," Hield said in a video. "Bahamians are one of the strongest set of people I know, but they still need your help to get through this."
Donations are going to the Abaco Islands and Grand Bahama to provide basic supplies for families trying to rebuild their lives.
