NORMAN—Bryce Carter wasn’t in the lineup for Oklahoma State in Sunday’s Bedlam finale at L. Dale Mitchell Park.
But the graduate transfer from Stanford was forced into action and came up with the game’s decisive hit—a towering three-run home run in the eighth that helped lift the Cowboys to a 10-7 win.
Oklahoma State (30-17, 12-9 Big 12) won the series for the third consecutive season and boosted their hopes of hosting a regional.
The Sooners fell to 31-20 and 9-12 in the conference. They’ll need a strong finish to avoid missing the postseason for the first time three seasons.
