NORMAN — Sophomore nickelback Brendan "Bookie" Radley-Hiles is the 2019 winner of the sixth annual J.D. Runnels Media Cooperation Award, voted on by beat writers who regularly cover Oklahoma football.
While Radley-Hiles wasn't the most interviewed player on the team, he consistently was thoughtful and patient with his answers — even when things weren't going well.
"Regardless of how he played, I'm proud of how he stood tall to the media after any performance," Runnels said. "That's what this is what this award is about. College football throws adversity at you, especially at nickel. I'm thankful he chose OU and wishing nonstop success.
