NORMAN — OU and OSU are both in the top 20 of the USA Today preseason coaches' poll.
The Sooners came in at No. 6, a spot behind defending national champion LSU.
The Cowboys are No. 16.
Two other Big 12 teams are ranked. Texas is No. 14 and Iowa State No. 25.
Clemson, Ohio State, Alabama and Georgia make up the top four.
OU is followed by Penn State, Florida, Oregon and Notre Dame to round out the top 10.
Clemson received 38 first-place votes. Ohio State (17), Alabama (4) and LSU (6) received the other first-place votes.
