Big 12 football notebook: TCU’S Gary Patterson doesn't regret late conversion try

TCU coach Gary Patterson regrets going for a two-point conversion in the third quarter against OU on Saturday night, but he stands by his decision to go for two with 51 seconds left in the game and the Horned Frogs trailing 30-29.

Sooner safety Steven Parker knocked down third-team quarterback Bram Kohlhausen's pass, sending the Sooners to victory.

A third-quarter touchdown brought the Horned Frogs within 23-13 with 12:56 left in the third quarter. Patterson continued to accept blame for the decision that led to a failed two-point conversion pass.

“If I had to do it over again, knowing everything I know now, no, I probably wouldn't have done it,” Patterson said of going for two points after Aaron Green's 26-yard touchdown run.
