West Virginia coach Dana Holgorsen has talked about his team's unselfishness all season. Saturday at Iowa State, Holgorsen had a great example to show off.
True freshman tailback Martell Pettaway came out of his redshirt in the 11th game of the season to give the injury-depleted Mountaineers a huge lift. Pettaway gained 181 yards on 30 carries in West Virginia's 49-19 victory over Iowa State.
“Tough to pull a guy's redshirt in Game 11,” Holgorsen said. “But it was the right thing to do. If he was a selfish guy, he would not have been on board with that.
