TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Oklahoma is one win away from a Super Regional.

The No. 3 seed Sooners (38-23) blanked No. 4 seed Samford (37-25) 4-0 on Saturday night in Dick Howser Stadium thanks to a career performance by starter Nathan Wiles.

Wiles (7-3) threw a career-high 8 u2154 innings — his previous career high for innings pitched was 7 u2154 against Texas on April 15 — with a career-high 10 strikeouts. He had never struck out more than seven in a game.

Wiles allowed seven hits and two walks in the game, and really put on the clamps when Samford had runners on base.
