The election is over and the pollsters were wrong. Donald Trump's narrow window for victory got wider and wider as the votes came in, and somewhere around the witching hour, Hillary Clinton conceded defeat.
Lots of things had to happen. Trump had to win most of the battleground states. Ohio. Florida. Michigan. Wisconsin. North Carolina. Pennsylvania. A funny thing happened on the way to the White House. Trump won them all. No one saw that coming.
All of which should make the Big 12 feel a lot better about its current state, for completely apolitical reasons. The Sooners' or Cowboys' or Mountaineers' chances for making the College Football Playoff seem remote.
