Oklahoman Brett McMurphy, who has forged quite the career as a national college football writer, polled NCAA Division I-A athletic directors in recent days, gauging their optimism on staging a college football season as America fights the coronavirus outbreak.
Of 130 athletic directors, 113 responded to McMurphy, a graduate of Yukon High School and OSU who now works for watchstadium.com. McMurphy reported that 20% of the responders believe there is a 50-50 chance the season will be canceled and 66% of the Power 5 Conference responders believe there is a 25% chance the season will be canceled.
