STILLWATER — Oklahoma State senior guard Brittney Martin was tired of playing poorly against her team's biggest rival.
The Cowgirls star combined to go 3-of-23 from the field with just eight points in two Bedlam losses last season. Martin knew that for her team to win Saturday, it couldn't happen again.
It didn't.
Martin was spectacular in Saturday's 73-42 rout of the Sooners. She scored 19 points — on nine-of-15 shooting — grabbed 14 rebounds and also recorded five assists, two blocks and two steals.
“I think I embarrassed myself both OU games last year,” said Martin, who entered Saturday's game leading the Big 12 in scoring, rebounding and steals.
