STLLWATER — In a week when the state's college football rivals are preparing for the Bedlam showdown, the programs are joining up to support a statewide effort to bring awareness to Oklahoma's opioid crisis.
Players from the two teams will have a decal on their helmets with the phrase “Stop Opioids” in each team's respective school colors written across an outline of the state of Oklahoma.
OU and OSU are believed to be the first two schools in the NCAA FBS to work together to call attention to what has become a national crisis.
