Bedlam Journal: Cowboys honor Brooks Thompson

STILLWATER — Along with Bedlam, Saturday served as Brooks Thompson night at Gallagher-Iba Arena.

The former Cowboy, who starred for Eddie Sutton teams in 1992-94, died June 9, after suffering from a genetic liver disorder.

In a pre-game gathering, Sutton led a large group of teammates, managers and former players in a reception that also featured Thompson's widow, Michelle, and their three daughters: Ryan, 16, Brooke, 14, and Addison, 9.

The family was recognized during halftime, too.

During the game, various snippets of Thompson's playing days — “Remember Brooks” — were shown on the video board.
