NORMAN — Things will be a little odd next season for Oklahoma and Oklahoma State.
For the first time since 2004, Bedlam will be played in October instead of November or December.
Next year’s Bedlam game, set for Norman, will be played Oct. 24, 2020.
The announcement was part of the Big 12 Conference’s schedule release for next season and though it’s something at least the Sooners wouldn’t have preferred, there was little that could be done.
When the Big 12 Championship Game was reinstituted for the 2017 season, the league said it would try to schedule so it could avoid having potential title-game opponents meeting in back-to-back weeks.
