McNeace re-injures ankle, Cowboys remain suspended
NORMAN — Jamuni McNeace, aided by teammate Miles Reynolds, headed to Oklahoma's bench in a hurried hobble late in the second half Saturday.
He collapsed to the floor once he got there.
McNeace re-injured his right ankle in Oklahoma's 74-64 win against Oklahoma State, a day after the senior center said he felt the best he has in more than a month.
Oklahoma State's Yor Anei, a 6-foot-10 center, landed on McNeace's ankle with 6:39 left in the game.
"It wasn't like a rolled ankle as much as just kind of a direct hit," OU coach Lon Kruger said.
