Oklahoma State right fielder Corey Hassel had a trio of nifty plays in the field that helped the Cowboys pull out a 9-6 Bedlam win Friday night at OneOK Field.
First, in the fourth inning, the Stillwater native laid out on a dead sprint, diving for Kyle Mendenhall’s liner near the right-field line to end the inning.
Hassel came up big again with two outs in the sixth, coming in on Hunter Haley’s liner to right to catch the ball with a dive.
He didn’t need to dive in the eighth inning, running into foul territory to catch Anthony Hermelyn’s pop-up with two on and no out.
