Cody Thomas is pushing any thought of him returning to football well in the rearview mirror.
Thomas, the former Oklahoma quarterback, continued his recent hot streak for the Sooners' baseball team on Friday night. He belted a three-run homer and delivered a two-run double to help Oklahoma open the Bedlam series with a 9-1 win over Oklahoma State in front of 7,302 at Bricktown Ballpark.
Late last month, Thomas was scuffling at the plate after returning to baseball following a year away from the sport to concentrate on football full-time.
After last football season, where Baker Mayfield earned the starting nod over Thomas.
