Well it's certainly been an interesting week for Baker Mayfield. The Sooner quarterback seemingly had all hopes shattered of playing for Oklahoma in 2017 after yesterday when the conference announced the schools split the vote for the "Mayfield Rule", allowing walk-ons to transfer in conference without losing a year of eligibility. A 6-4 vote was needed to pass but it was 5-5 as of yesterday.
Then today the conference announced they were revisiting that vote, after a lot of backlash from the media and fans all over. And then this was reported today by George Schroeder :
BREAKING: Big 12’s faculty athletic reps voted 7-3 on a tweaked walk-on transfer rule.
