Never shy, former Oklahoma Heisman winner Baker Mayfield delivered some strong opinions Wednesday on Texas' return to prominence and quarterback Sam Ehlinger.
When asked if Texas could be a national contender Wednesday on Norman's SportsTalk 1400 (KREF), the Cleveland Browns quarterback predictably took a different view.
"They said that when they beat Notre Dame a couple years ago [in 2016] and they won two or three games after that. I'm sick of that crap," Mayfield said while taking a break from his football camp
Reminded of Texas quarterback Sam Ehlinger and his proclamation that Texas was back at the Sugar Bowl after a win over Georgia, Mayfield referenced an Austin high school rivalry.
