Baker Mayfield accepts plea deal, fined for February incident in Arkansas

NORMAN — Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield accepted a plea deal last week in relation to his February arrest in Arkansas for multiple misdemeanor counts.

Mayfield has to pay a total of $460 for the charges of public intoxication, disorderly conduct and fleeing. Of that total, $300 is fines and $160 is court costs.

The quarterback was initially also charged with resisting arrest following his Feb. 25 arrest in Fayetteville, Arkansas, but that charge was dropped.

The plea deal was reached June 14 but the details weren’t released until Monday.

A day after the plea deal, Mayfield’s punishment from the OU Athletics Department was announced.
