NORMAN — While 37 receivers ran the 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine, Jeff Badet was on a boat.
Without an invitation to Indianapolis, the former OU wide receiver was floating in the Atlantic Ocean on his first deep sea fishing excursion in the Florida Keys.
He didn't realize the two overlapped until the morning the boat departed the dock, so he kept up with everything going on using the NFL app.
“I was pretty much just looking to see what numbers they put up because I knew for a fact that I was going to come out there and be the top if I was at the combine,” Badet said.
