As a boy growing up in Norman, Trae Young dreamed of having his own shoe. Wednesday, Young announced that the dream had come to fruition.
The Atlanta Hawks point guard, who played at Norman North and OU, told ESPN’s “The Jump” that Adidas would release a Young signature shoe in autumn 2021. It’s believed that only 18 NBA players have a signature shoe.
“I’m super excited,” Young said. “This is a dream come true for me. Dream as a kid, playing on those little goals in your room. Just putting on those shoes, dreaming of being that player.
