Jordan Kelley was full of envy each time he saw his Tulsa Union teammates get invited to a special photo shoot or interview his junior season.
“Wow, must be nice,” Kelley thought.
Sitting on his couch, Kelley made a decision. He would get better and earn an invite to the big events. He would train better.
“I'm not playing just to play,” Kelley said. “I'm playing to go somewhere, because I can't pay for college. I think that helped me out.”
Kelley, a first-team selection on The Oklahoman's All-State team who has signed with Oklahoma, became a dominant force in the middle of Tulsa Union's defense this season.
