He hit 19 home runs and drove in 64 runs, including a masterful state tournament that saw three homers. He had signed with Oklahoma State, but instead has chosen to begin his professional career with the Chicago White Sox.
The story: One of the more talented juniors in the state, Reed belted 19 homers and drove in 55 runs while hitting .581 for Roff, which made the Class A state semifinals. The University of Arkansas at Little Rock commitment was an impressive 43 for 74 overall at the plate.
