Oklahoma basketball player Akolda Manyang has been charged with felony aggravated assault and battery in the aftermath of an incident that took place at Norman's Campus Corner district early Sunday morning.
According to Cleveland County district attorney Greg Mashburn, the 22-year-old Manyang approached a group including a man identified as Tyler Evans and allegedly began making advances toward some women in the group. Evans allegedly told Manyang to take it easy. The two separated for a moment, before Manyang re-approached Evans and punched him in the face.
Evans sustained "injuries to his face, including swelling, a lacerated lip and two missing teeth, which he said were knocked out as a result of the punch," according to the probably cause affidavit filed to Cleveland County District Court.
