Former Oklahoma running back Joe Mixon will work out at Oklahoma's pro day on March 8, his agent Peter Schaffer told Liz Mullen of Sports Business Journal on Monday.
Mixon, despite telling ESPN he received a first-round draft grade, did not receive an invitation to next week's NFL Combine because of his misdemeanor assault conviction. Mixon punched Amelia Molitor in the face on July 25, 2014. Mixon's lawyers released the video of the assault Dec. 16.
The NFL has a policy to not allow NFL Draft prospects to participate at the combine if they have a felony or misdemeanor conviction related to violence, use of a weapon or sexual assault.
