Georgia football strikes me as the sane part of the SEC.
Alabama has the SEC’s best football tradition, of course, but then you get into a group that’s fairly close. LSU, Georgia, Florida, Auburn, Tennessee. That crowd. And from afar, it sure looks like Georgia has the goods on sanity, when it comes to fans and to administration.
I don’t know if that’s true. Maybe I’ll find out more next week, when we share a section of Greater Los Angeles. But Georgia seems like a more stately program. Fewer quick-trigger decisions. Less rollercoaster mentality. Just really good football for a really long time.
