Here are five thoughts from OU's 59-56 win over West Virginia:
This game was what we thought it would be
Sometimes games billed as potential shootouts fail to meet expectations. That certainly wasn’t the case on Friday night, as the Sooners and Mountaineers combined for 115 points and 1,372 yards. There were defensive moments — OU did punt once — but for the most part, it was an offensive day. The Sooners averaged 10.3 yards per play to the Mountaineers' 7.8.
Kyler Murray's big plays
On the other hand, Murray was outstanding vs the Mountaineers.
