Two of Oklahoma's five Heisman winners have been QBs, despite the Sooners not being known for their passing game until relatively recently.
Sam Bradford, OU's most recent No. 1 overall pick in the NFL Draft, is an obvious favorite to top any list of the best signalcallers in the program's history. But how would the chips fall behind him?
Let's take a look.
5. Josh Heupel (1999-2000)
Stats: 63.3 completion percentage, 6,852 passing yards, 50 TDs, 29 INTs
Accolades: Heisman Trophy finalist (2000), consensus All-American (2000), national champion (2000), AP Player of the Year (2000), Walter Camp Award (2000)
A JUCO signee out of Snow College in Utah, Heupel was Oklahoma's first Air Raid quarterback under OC Mike Leach in 1999 -- also Bob Stoops' first season with the Sooners -- and Mark Mangino in 2000.
