3 takeaways: Poor defense, turnovers doom Baylor against No. 1 Oklahoma

WACO -- Here are three takeaways from No. 13 Baylor's 82-72 loss to No. 1 Oklahoma on Saturday afternoon.

1. Zone woes. Baylor opted to defend in its signature zone for much of the game, to poor results. The Sooners shot 8-for-12 from 3-point range in the first half, most following missed rotations Oklahoma guard Jordan Woodard was the primary recipient, scoring 20 points on five 3-pointers in the first half alone.

Baylor kept likely national player of the year Buddy Hield in check in the first half, but he exploded for an easy 14 points in the second half to finish with 19 on the day.
