2015 Oklahoma Sooners Football Countdown To Kickoff | 11 Days!

When you think of Oklahoma's stifling defense in the early 2000's, Teddy Lehman is one of the first names that comes to mind. The linebacker was the one who made the famous interception for a touchdown against Texas in the 2001 season that sealed the victory and is also known for winning the 2003 Bednarik Award, given to the best defensive player of the country.

The back to back Consensus All-American also led Oklahoma to the 2003 national championship game against LSU, in which Lehman's eight tackle and one sack performance wasn't enough in a 21-14 loss. The Oklahoma defense under Bob Stoops was at it's best when Lehman was on the field, even if they didn't win a championship while he was a starter.
