Oklahoma Sooners running back Samaje Perine's run to the record books won him co-Walter Camp Player of the Week honors with Missouri defensive end Markus Golden, per a team announcement.
Per Zach Barnett of NBC's College Football Talk, "Perine is the fifth Sooner to win the honor, and first since Sam Bradford took it home on Sept. 9, 2007."
Perine broke Melvin Gordon's week-old FBS rushing record for a single game, running it 34 times for an eye-popping 427 yards and five touchdown in the Oklahoma Sooners' 44-7 rout of the Kansas Jayhawks on Saturday.
As Eric Bailey of the Tulsa World points out, Perine was just as strong at the end of the game as he was in the beginning and middle of it:
Distance of Perine's first run: 49 yards. Distance of Perine's final run: 42 yards. Yards in between: 336 yards. Total yards: 427 #Sooners

Co-award winner Markus Golden had six tackles, 2.5 tackles for a loss, two sacks, and a fumble recovery (along with two quarterback hurries) in #20 Missouri's 29-21 at Tennessee.
