The Oklahoma City Thunder have signed former Maryland guard Dez Wells has signed a non-guaranteed contract, Wells' agent Lance Washington told Comcast SportsNet.
Wells will join OKC for training camp, where they can then sign him a guaranteed deal that will probably involve him playing in the D-League if they like what they see.
The Thunder currently have 15 players signed to guaranteed deals, which is the maximum allowed on NBA regular season rosters. Teams can have as many as 20 players on their roster for training camp.
Wells averaged 15.1 points and 5.3 rebounds in his senior season for Maryland.
