Since 2016, the Thunder’s home games against the Warriors have had a little extra bite to them.
They already would have been labeled revenge games the season after the Warriors overcame a 3-1 deficit to eliminate the Thunder in the 2016 Western Conference Finals. But Kevin Durant spurning OKC for Golden State in free agency that summer extended the rivalry. Now, the main players in that saga are gone, and the Thunder’s matchup with the Warriors Sunday is just another chance for a new group of players to try to figure out how to win games.
